Seven On Monday

Hello ladies and happy Monday!! It's been a little while since I have shared a 7 on Monday with you guys, but now that spring is finally here, I will definitely be bringing it back weekly!

V-Neck Jersey Maxi Dress

I could not believe it when I saw that they brought this maxi dress back!! I have it in the lighter pink, and five years later it's still one of my favorite maxi dresses! And added bonus it's currently 30% off making it under $50!!

I have always been a huge fan of Madewell's jewelry, and I absolutely love this necklace! I feel like the quality is really nice and it holds up really well without turning!

I am dying over how cute this top is, make sure you click the link to see it more up-close, because it is so pretty! And I am loving it paired with white jeans like the model is wearing.

Baldwick Dress

Run don't walk if you want this one, because sizes are going super fast! I love the pink and orange together and the cute bow details on the sleeves!

Best pair of jeans shorts I've seen so far this spring/summer! I love that they have a high waist, 5 inch inseam, and that they are loose around the leg.

I seriously want these sandals in every color! They look so comfy, and I love the twisted straps! Also they are currently on sale for 30% off!

Okay, is this not the sweetest little set ever! I am telling you Walmart has truly been knocking it out of the park with kids fashion last season and this season!

5 On Saturday

Good morning friends and happy Saturday!!! I had full intentions on writing this post yesterday, but the day ended up being kind of crazy, and I never made it to my office!

ONE //

I got a new runner for our kitchen, and it makes the kitchen feel so much brighter! The one that we had previously had was way too light and showed everything!! The brand of the new rug is by nuLOOM which I am sure you guys know by now is my favorite brand of rugs. You can't beat the price and the quality is always good!

nuLOOM Tribal Runner

TWO //

These are the first two swimsuits that I have ordered from Amazon this season, and they were both really really good ones!! And you can also click here on my stories to get a better look and see the back and booty coverage!

Tummy Control Halter One Piece

And for sizing reference this swimsuit runs tts, and I am wearing it a size small.

And this one runs tts as well, and I am wearing it in a size small.

THREE //

I am so happy that I asked/shared about my horrible stomach pain and emotions when I ovulate, so many of you let me know you had the same issues! And a few of you suggested evening primrose supplements to help, so I ordered them and started them last week. I am pretty sure it takes a little while to tell that they are working, but I'll keep you guys posted for sure if I find that they are helping!

Evening Primrose Supplements

FOUR //

Cecil and Lou have the CUTEST spring stuff for babies and little girls! I seriously want to buy every single dress and bubble they have!

This and That + (Carowinds Recap)

// I am pretty sure I just found a new favorite brand!!! This Mimi Seabrook dress is hands down one of the most adorable dresses I have put on in a long time! The quality, the fit, the color, and the design are all truly perfect!! So excited to wear this dress Thursday on girls night out!!

Bakersfield Pink Dress // Stud Earrings // Nude Sandals

// If you're in the market for a really comfortable pair of summer sandals that will match everything, then grab these now

The Drop Monika Drop Sandal

// Now onto our Carowinds trip... I could lie all day and say it was AMAZING, but that would be just that, a lie!! And gosh I hate being negative because the kids really did have fun, and the rides we were able to ride were really good. We got there as soon as the park opened at 10am and we were able to ride 4 or 5 rides, and after that everything kind of went downhill. I would say about 10-12 rides shut down, and half of them were because of wind, but the other half were due to technical difficulties. I am not sure how we got so lucky but I jumped in line with a few other people when I saw them testing the Intimidator, and they ended up opening it back up and we were able to get on within 5 minutes! And as soon as we got off it shut down again. That was by far the fastest and the coolest rollercoaster I have ever been on. Todd screamed the entire time, and watching and listening to him took all my fears away and I couldn't stop laughing!!

So in a nutshell a lot of the rides we had on our list and were really looking forward too shutdown and didn't reopen, and this caused all the other lines to be super long! Anyway, I just wanted you guys to know incase you are planning a trip there soon. I will say that this was only the second weekend that Carowinds was open since closing for the season, so that could have had a lot to do with it.  We decided to stay at the SpringHill Suites hotel, it's pretty much inside of Carowinds, and it's the only hotel you can walk to the park from which I will say was really nice!! And all in all the hotel was pretty decent besides the breakfast buffet. The rooms were clean, comfy beds, and a they had a good snack and soda selection down in the lobby! Plus the sunset was so cool from the hotel, and we loved watching the big rollercoasters from the windows!

Everyone's favorite Family rollercoaster Ricochet!!! This was our second ride when we got into the park at 10am, when it opened, and the wait was about 10 min! Everyone loved it so much that later that evening we went to ride it again, and after waiting for over an hour in line they shut it down for technical difficulties.

Special Fury 324 dippin dots! They were really good btw :)

Both kids second favorite ride, the  Kiddy Hawk

I am not sure if we will go back or not, but I did receive a lot of messages on Instagram saying that  summer is a much better time to go because they have the waterpark open, and have usually worked out all the kinks with the rides!

I am pretty sure I am feeling a little overwhelmed because it's been SO long since we traveled anywhere, and because their are now three kids to pack for instead of two! But for some reason being at my computer and writing calms my anxious mind down, so here's brain dump for y'all!

ONE //

// I am so excited about Carowinds this weekend, and I can't tell you guys how excited I am to ride the all the big rollercoasters! Though I am clearly the only one that wants to ride Fury 324! Did y'all know it's the tallest, longest, and fastest gigo coaster in North America??

Flattering Affordable Swimsuits

Okay you guys, this may just be the best-looking quality swimsuit on amazon that I have found yet! And the knotted triangle pattern is so good, not to mention it has a supportive top with removable padding.

High Waisted Wrap Bikini Set

This high-waist bikini is gorgeous!! I actually ordered it yesterday, so if it looks as good in person as it does online I'll definitely share it when it comes in!

Cross Front Stripe One Piece

This one is a bit more pricy than they rest, but I think it may be one that's worth it by the reviews! But make sure you size down, because it does appear to run big!

Slimming Tummy Control Halter Swimsuit

I've always just skipped over the patterns and cuts like this, but this one really caught my eye. And not to mention this girly clearly has a boob job (which I am not judging, because they looks amazing) But on me, and I assume on some of y'all it will probably fit a bit different and with style I think it just looks better with a smaller chest! And now after typing all of this, I think I'll just order it and we can go from there haha!

Color Block One Piece Swimsuit

I love anything color block, and this these colors look so good with a tan! It also comes in 15 other colors and is only $32!!!!

Static Tye Dye One Piece Swimsuit

I love every single thing about this swimsuit, the colors and pattern, the cut of the top, and especially the cute tie waist! Not to mention it's a total steal at $14!!!!

One Shoulder Tummy Control Swimsuit

This reminds me of the Trina Turk swimsuit that was really popular a few years ago! It has almost a perfect 5star rating, and it's on $29 you guys!!!

Slowcooker 15 Bean Soup

Well that warm spring weather was really nice while it lasted, but tomorrow it's back to being cold here again :(  And you all are probably thinking why in the world is she sharing a bagged bean recipe, and the answer is because if one of my girlfriends wouldn't have told me to get this bag of beans, I would have never picked them up at the store!! And let me tell you this was one of the easiest and best soups I have ever made!!! Everyone in the house loved it, even Carson surprisingly

Also, if you're looking for the perfect slow cooker, we have had this one for years, and it's amazing!! And you can find a very similar wooden board like the one I have below, I use it all the time to make small charcuterie boards!

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg HamBeens® 15 BEAN SOUP®

  • 8 cups water (use chicken, beef, or vegetable broth for added flavor)

  • 1 lb. smoked sausage, ground sausage (browned in pan), ham hocks or diced ham. Our favorite is to use a leftover hambone with some meat on it.

  • 1 lg. onion, diced

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp chili powder (optional)

  • 1 can diced tomatoes (15 oz.)

  • Juice from 1 lemon

  • Optional: Hot sauce or crushed red pepper to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. NO SOAK METHOD

  2. In a colander or sieve, rinse beans thoroughly. Sort and inspect for any unwanted debris and discard.

  3. Drain and pour beans in a slow cooker with 8 cups of stock/water, onions, garlic, and meat or hambone. (Not tomato or lemon juice yet!). Use 9-10 cups of liquid if you like a more "brothy" soup.

  4. Stir to combine. Set slow cooker on high and cook for 5-7 hours then check to make sure beans are tender. The soup can continue to simmer for several hours and will develop more flavor over time.

  5. After the beans are tender, remove the hambone (leave any ham in the pot), stir in the can of diced tomatoes, our Ham Flavor packet, optional chili powder, and the lemon juice.

  6. Cook for additional 30 minutes then keep warm until ready to serve.

  7. We recommend to serve with a freshly baked slice of corn bread! You can also serve over rice as well.

  8. Please keep in mind that every time the lid is opened, your cooking time will be longer.

Tips

For even more flavor, substitute beef, chicken or vegetable stock instead of water.

You can also try 1 lb. boneless chicken breasts or 1 lb. beef roast, then shred meat before Step 5 above.

As with all dry bean recipes, it's best to wait until AFTER the beans have become tender or fully cooked before adding any acidic ingredients like tomatoes, citrus, vinegars, etc.

You can add other vegetables like carrots & celery for even more flavor and nutrients

Remember that this is a NO SOAK recipe, but if you have already soaked the beans that's not a problem, just use 1 cup of water/stock less.

Variations on the recipe will work for almost all of Hurst's HamBeens items.

If you prefer a more "brothy" soup, add an extra cup of liquid when preparing

Okay you guys, it's been WAY too long since I've shared an amazon hit and miss post! I hope these are helpful and give you all some great amazon fashion steals while also saving you from any annoying amazon returns!

Also, I have a few more pieces that haven't arrived yet, but I'll be sure to add them on here and my instastories as well! Going to share all of these looks on my stories today, but in case you case miss it I'll also save it to my highlight on Instagram!

HITS

Silky V-Neck Midi Dress // Similar Necklace // Similar Bracelet // Ankle Strap Sandal // Stud Earrings

PrettyGarden Bohemian Maxi Dress // Fedora Foldable Hat // Braided Sandals // Rattan Earrings

The quality of this dress is amazing, and the one shoulder tie is such a flattering look! Also the length is perfect for flats or a smaller heel. Again for reference I am 5'2 and I am wearing this in a size small!

White Lace Blouse // Skinny Jeans // Bracelet // Sandals

This blouse is even prettier in person you guys, it really is the perfect white blouse! It runs tts and for sizing reference I am wearing it in the size small.

This jumpsuit is so comfortable and so flattering on. I am wearing it with 3.5 inch heels and the I am 5'2. It runs tts as well and I am wearing it in a size small.

Okay, even though I am not keeping this one because I have no upcoming vacations to go on, I still think it's a hit!! Warning it super short though, so if you're tall or taller than 5'3 I would probably skip this one. It runs tts and for sizing reference I am wearing it in the size small.

High Low Ruffle Maxi Dress  // Similar Bracelet // Earrings

This dress is so comfy, can be worn without a bra, has an adjustable neck, and would look great on all body types! It also comes in a ton of colors and is only $35! For sizing it does run big, so size down. For reference I am wearing it in the size small.

This brand is truly turning into one of my new favorites. The quality is really really good, and everything looks and feels way more expensive than it actually is. This dress also runs big, and for sizing reference I am wearing it in the xs.

I shared this dress last week, and it's just as stunning in person. It's by the same brand I shared above, and again the quality is amazing! This one also comes in black and a darker "earth" tan. It runs big, and for reference I am wearing it in the xs.

Crochet Crewneck Sweater // White Jeans sold out Similar Here //  Earrings // Sandals

This is the perfect spring/ summer sweater, and I think it would also be really cute with jean or white shorts when it gets warmer. Also, it comes in 11 other colors, and is only $38. Runs tts and I am wearing it in a size small.

Loose Flowy Chiffon Blouse // White Jeans sold out Similar Here //  Earrings // Sandals

This blouse really exceeded my expectations and is so much prettier in person. And this is another one that I think would look super cute with shorts and flat sandals for a more casual look. It's only $24 and it comes in a lot of colors and a short sleeve version as well. It runs a little on the big side so if you're between sizes, I would size down. And for reference I am wearing it in a size small.

This dress is such a good one and so many of you guys have let me know that you ordered it and loved it as well. And you really can't beat the price at $31! And depending on what color and pattern you order I think it can be dressed up or down. It runs big and for sizing reference I am wearing it in a size small.

MISSES

This one was a miss for me, but I do want to say this dress could be cute on someone taller and possibly belted. On me it just looked like a sack.
