5 on Friday

TGIF, friends!!

ONE //

Okay, so I know ramen noodles aren't exactly healthy, but they're cheap, quick and easy to make, and my kids LOVE them!  Todd and I don't mind them either, but they can be a little bland so I decided to add in some leftover flank steak that we had from the night before along with some veggies I had in the fridge.  Well holy moly, y' was SO good!!!  I didn't measure anything so I'm just going to guesstimate some things, but just know that you can't really mess this up!

3 packs of beef flavor ramen
Medium rare grilled flank steak
3 cups of beef broth
2 cups of water
1 small bag of baby carrots sliced
1 cartoon of fresh mushrooms
1 medium size yellow onion
 2tsp of butter
5tsp of low sodium soy sauce or coconut aminos
Salt and pepper to taste

Use a large pot and boil the 3 packs of ramen noodles as directed on package, but use half water and half beef broth instead of water only. Put all three beef flavor seasonings in as well.

While the noodles are boiling in a separate pan add two tablespoons of butter and toss in your sliced carrots, mushrooms, and onions and sautéed until soft.

Then add your steak into the sautéed vegetables along with 5tsp of coconut aminos and let it simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.

Last, add your steak and vegetables into the ramen, bring to boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 10 to 20 minutes.

** If you prefer egg in your ramen for extra protein and flavor, this is the soft boil egg recipe I used when I made this recipe again earlier this week.

TWO //

This picture makes me a kid I LOVED watermelon!!  And while the pre-sliced watermelon in the store is pretty good, nothing beats a watermelon fresh from the garden.  Our three kiddos ate this entire thing in four days, and yes, I said all three because Reese was able to eat some in her baby fruit feeder.

If you are a fan of banana pudding then you MUST make this recipe asap!!  It's been a few years since I had made this one, and oh my goodness, it was amazing!!  Once you make this, I am willing to bet you'll never make the regular kind again :)

FOUR //

My sweet water baby!  All of our babies have always liked the water, but I'm pretty sure Reese was a fish in another life because this baby LOVES it!

I had a few questions about my swimsuit and Reese's hat so I'm linking everything up below.

FIVE //
Last, but not least, I have to brag on these two for a second! They have both been so amazing not only with us having a new baby, and quarantine, but with each other as well. And Carsons new favorite sport is fishing, so just for her brother she pretends to love it as well :)

June & July Amazon Purchases

Hello friends, and happy hump day!  I sure hope you all are having a good week so far!!  My mother-in-law and Todd's aunt Cindy are here for the week, and I'm not going to lie, it's been so nice to have their company and the extra hands!  Last night, my mother-in-law made the most delicious spaghetti pie (recipe coming soon for that), and after we all ate way too much, we worked it off with a dance party in the kitchen!  I don't think I've laughed that hard in a while watching Todd's mom and aunt laugh asTodd and the kids did the floss.

Anyway, I just got the baby down for her morning nap and Carson and Taylor are outside playing with Bandit, so I thought I would hop on here real quick and share my June amazon purchases.  You all have let me know that you love it when I share these in the past, so here ya go!  And man, I seriously don't know what I would do without Amazon, especially now with Corona and the new baby!!

** Warning...the last two months purchases are all kinds of random...ha! **

You guys may remember that I ordered a similar chore chart like this last year for the kids, and while it worked great for a while, the black color was hard to read with the markers and it didn't fit on our refrigerator where the kids could reach it.  That being said, when I saw this white one that was not only the right size, but it also came with five markers and an eraser for $21, I decided to order it!  And let me just tell y'all, it has been AMAZING in our house, as far as getting our kids to help out and learn how to start doing chores and everyday tasks on their own.

Hands down one of the kids favorite activities this summer!!  These water balloons are so easy to fill and the kids have a blast launching them at each other...ha!

I normally wouldn't share these with you guys, but Todd swears they are the best boxer briefs he's ever put on, so if I have any male readers out there or ladies that want to buy their men some comfy undies, here ya go :)

Okay, so even if you don't have pets, I give these candles a big thumbs up!  I ordered the calming lavender scent and it smells so good.  It's not a very strong scent though, so if you're looking for something to cover the entire house, this wouldn't be for you!  But if you're looking for a light odor eliminating candle, then I highly recommend these.  I am planning to try out the clean laundry scent next!

This bad boy will not arrive until tomorrow, but I have high hopes it's going to be awesome and just what I've been looking for.  A few years back, we had a similar Dyson that cost about triple what this did and it was the biggest hunk of junk ever.  I am keeping my fingers crossed that this knockoff will do the trick, and help me keep the floors and carpets clean between the weekly big clean and mopping.  I'll be sure to let you all know what I think after I've used it for a few weeks.

If you have a teething baby, I canNOT recommend these enough!  Reese loves these, and we have put almost every fruit and vegetable in here, and they keep her very content and calm between feedings!

I know I shared this bikini set with y'all last week, but I seriously love it so much that I'm thinking of ordering it in this green and white color combo as well.  I mean, you can't beat a fully lined supportive bikini set for under $30!!

2020 Beach and Pool Favorites

Happy hump day, friends! Only one more day ahead until Friday and I cannot wait!  We are heading out Friday morning to go spend the weekend with my brother and his family in Myrtle Beach.  We usually stay for a week, but with everything going on this year we decided to make it a weekend trip.  Either way, I am so excited to see my sweet nieces and nephews, and so our my kiddos!

I decided to start making a mental list of what I needed to pack for our trip this morning and it hit me that I hadn't shared my current beach and pool favorites for this year.  I know this post is always a big hit, and since most of these items will be coming with us on this trip, I thought now would be the perfect time to share my favorites with y'all!

Homitt 30 Can Soft Cooler (aka the cheaper Yeti)

I purchased this cooler for Todd about two years ago and we have used it SO much since then!  Even though we have never personally owned a Yeti, we have a lot of friends that own one and we've brought this bag on trips where they have had their Yeti's. When we've compared the two together, they are almost identical with space, keeping things cold, and quality.

We bought this earlier this summer and it's perfect for the beach!  It's easy to put up and take down, and it's perfect for providing shade for the kids to eat or for the baby to nap.

Okay, I know I've talked about these towels a few times before, but we LOVE them so much and they just came out with these fun new colors so I thought I would share them again.

Okay, this little baby gadget is officially our favorite product yet!  We love it so much that we keep it up inside all of the time.  This is actually what Reese is currently in right now as I'm typing this.  She loves to play on it and also bite on the book and the log...ha!

I don't have this exact bag, but I have one very similar and it's so nice to take on quick road trips to store all the kids stuff in.  It would also be perfect for a picnic or maybe even grocery shopping.

My parents have these floating lights in their pool and the grandkids LOVE them.  Oh man, I so wish we had a pool in our backyard!

This is another item that is PERFECT for the pool.  This float looks so comfortable and I love that you can sit up in it or lay back and lounge so you can get a better tan!
