Five on Friday

Cheers to finally being FRIDAY!!

ONE //

The weather here in Charleston has felt AMAZING the last couple of days!!  It has been so nice to finally bust out my jeans and sweaters.  And speaking of sweaters, I found the softest and the coziest sweater/cardigan EVER!

** Size down as is does run big.  For reference, I'm wearing a small. **

TWO //

I made the easiest Pasta E Fagioli last night for dinner and everyone in our house LOVED it!  Plus, it made a huge pot and I was able to save a container for leftovers while also freezing an additional container for another night.  So technically, one pot made dinner for three nights!  Also, if you don't have a dutch oven, I highly recommend the one we have and it's currently on sale.  We have the 5qt, but I just ordered the 7qt by the same brand in the cool gray color

THREE //

Carson and Taylor have picked out their Halloween costumes for this year.  I must admit, I was very happy with both of their choices, but Carson's seriously cracks me up!  His favorite movie of all time is Inside Out, and when he told me he wanted to be Anger from the movie so I went on the hunt. Thankfully, it wasn't too much of a hunt because I found it on Amazon within five minutes!  This is the only picture I have of my fast flying butterfly  :)

And because I can't believe how big my babies are, here's a little flashback from past Halloweens when they were truly my little babies :(

Baseball Player // Zebra with puppy ears :)

FOUR //

Loft just started their friends and family sale where you can save 40% off your entire purchase!! Their fall collection is SO good this year, and I am excited to try a few of their maternity pieces too! Below are a few of my absolute favorites for fall.

Use the code FRIENDS to save 40% off at checkout!

FIVE //

These are such good reminders, and ones I feel like I need to look at and focus on more.

Wish List Wednesday

It has been a while since I've shared a good wish list Wednesday with y'all and being that the fall weather looks like it's finally here I thought it was the perfect time to share what's all on my list!

Y'all should know by now that these are my favorite pajamas and I am so in love with the new blue floral print.  These also make the perfect gift, so if any of you are early holiday shoppers, you may want to grab a pair now while sizes are still in stock!

Free People makes the BEST tops for fall.  I have a similar style from last year and it was by far one of my most worn tops.  This cut is so flattering and it looks super cute dressed up with jeans or dressed down with leggings.

I love a good cowl neck dress and this one is currently on major sale.  It comes in petite and regular.

I love the look and fit of this blouse.  This color is my favorite, but the red would be so pretty for the holidays!

This is another top by Free People and I love that the upper part is a pretty jacquard print while the bottom is a flowey waffle knit.

As soon as this baby gets here I'm ordering these jeans and I don't even care if I have to go up a few sizes...ha!  I LOVE the look of this new style and I think they look so classy and sleek.  I really like these as well and the price point is a lot better!

Oh my, this cardigan is calling my name.  I seriously love everything about it!  Plus, you guys know how much I love anything cream colored for fall.

How gorgeous is this boho cuff for fall?!  I have seen her bracelets floating around Instagram and I am just smitten with this one.

You all know I love the color of this sweater, but I think the real winner is the neckline and the beautiful stitching on the top and the sleeves.

Last, but not least, these boots are total perfection!!!  They are sleek enough that you can really dress them up, but they would also look amazing worn with jeans and a cute sweater as well!

Life Lately

We made it to the pumpkin patch this past weekend!  We waited until Sunday evening to go so it would feel nice outside, plus, we were hoping it would be a little less crowded.  No such luck with the less crowded part, but the weather was great!

I cannot believe how big my babies are now.  And poor Carson took a spill on his electric Razor Saturday so that's why his chin has a big strawberry on it and his leg is all bandaged up.  Thank goodness he had on his helmet and that he didn't get hurt any worse than a few cuts and bruises.

What I wore

On Saturday, we had a day full of errands to run.  Taylor had gymnastics, both kiddos got a hair cut, and we had to grab a few things to fix up the nursery walls.

Comfiest dress for casually running around and I love that it looks cute with sneakers.

Speaking of sneakers, I have been wearing these non-stop!!  Best $19 I've ever spent on a pair of slip-ons!

On Friday night, Todd and I had a date night and I was really craving some good fried seafood, but my back was killing me so I didn't feel like dressing up or going anywhere fancy.  That being said, I am so happy I felt this way because we finally tried The Wreck.  Oh my goodness you guys, don't let the paper plates fool you, this was possibly the best fried seafood I have ever eaten in my life!  The shrimp and the hushpuppies were to die for!

This waffle knit tie top was and still is a favorite of mine from last year.

And while the restaurant itself is kind of a hole in the wall, it has one of the most beautiful views in Charleston.

And last, but not least, I am so so excited that we are heading to Dollywood's DreamMore Resort next week!!  We are going on a quick little three night stay to get away one last time as a family of four, but man I am thrilled.  I can't wait to do all the fall things, and I just checked the weather and it's going to feel amazing there.

I just ordered this sweater to wear next week and I am just loving the neckline and the pretty pink color!

Five on Friday

ONE //

Todd and I have a date night tonight and I am pretty sure I'm not going to change out of my current outfit that I'm wearing below...ha!  I am thinking we will go grab Mexican and then we're heading to see the movie The Peanut Butter Falcon.  It's been forever since just the two of us have gone to see a movie so I am really excited and the previews on this one look so good.

Here is a better look at my new $19 slip-on sneakers...trust me, you want these!  Go down half a size though because they do run big.  Also, my doormat details can be found here

TWO //

This is about as decorated as things are going to get inside our home for Halloween and Thanksgiving this year.  Since we're not hosting the Halloween party I decided to give all my spiders, rats, and bats a break and keep them packed up in the attic this year :)

THREE //

But not to worry, these two are still getting into the Halloween spirit in their skeleton pajamas and requests for spooky dinners!  And I will admit, the mummy hot dogs are pretty darn good and now we all prefer them over a regular hot dog in a bun.

Directions for the spooky apple teeth can be found here

FOUR //

I still have yet to complete organizing my dresser drawers and closet, but I did make some progress this week.  I went through every pair of shoes and donated the ones I didn't want anymore, organized, and then neatly put the ones I wanted to keep in their place.  My plan is to start on my clothes right after I finish this post...wish me luck!

FIVE //

Last, but not least, you guys were SO helpful suggesting fun places to go for a little family fun, fall getaway!  We ended up nixing the Disney / Universal Studios idea since I would be so limited to what I could ride and do there.  At this point, I think we've pretty much decided on Dollywood's DreamMore Resort for a few days!  This was by far the #1 suggested place, and it really does look so fun and perfect for fall.
