Happy Halloween + Fall Favorites Under $50

Happy Halloween, friends!!!!  I am so excited to go trick-or-treating with the kiddos tonight and I am praying that the rain holds off!  This was Taylor yesterday morning before her school character parade, and much to my surprise, I think this is also what she is choosing to dress up as tonight as well.  She has a butterfly costume as another option so we shall see!  And sadly, Carson is at the age where dressing up for the school parade isn't cool, but I'm just thankful he still thinks it's cool to dress up for Halloween and go trick-or-treating :)

And I apologize for being MIA the last two days, it's just been one of those busy weeks where mom duties took over and I just haven't had any time to sit and write, but I have a lot of fun things planned to chat about next week.  Also, I can't wait to share our trip to Dollywood with you!

I am loving this rust color for fall, and you can't beat the under $50 price tag on this one.

This brand is a new favorite of mine.  The quality, the price, and the styles never disappoint and everything I've purchased so far from this brand washes and dries so well.

This reminds me of everyone's favorite, Barefoot Dream Cardigans, but just way cheaper!!  And speaking of Barefoot Dreams, this cozy chic cardigan is currently 50% off and you guys know that is rare for these to get marked down!

I purchased this backpack purse right before we left last week on our trip and I absolutely LOVE it!  I  also love that you have the option to carry it as a purse or a backpack.

How fun is this tiger stripe dress?!  It comes in regular, petite, plus, and also tall, plus, it's currently on major sale for $35!  And speaking of sale, Loft is currently running a huge 48 hour Halloween sale so make sure you check that out here

These jeans have become my new favorite brand for affordable jeans.  I own three pair that they make in maternity.  They are so comfy and the fit is amazing!  That being said, after baby girl gets here I will definitely be ordering a few pair of the non-maternity jeans.

I am a sucker for a good, cozy turtleneck sweater and I am loving the oversized cable stitch on this one.

Bedroom Spruce Up + Guest Ready Tips

I was in shock when I passed a sign yesterday that said 59 days until Christmas!?!?!  I am trying to be on top of it this year, and get started with shopping and planning early because I know the further along I get in this pregnancy, the less energy I'll have.  This year the holidays things are going to be a little different since I won't be able to travel so my parents are planning on coming here to celebrate Christmas with us for a few days.  And now that our guest room has been taken, we decided that we would give them our bedroom to stay in and we would bunk up with Carson and Taylor.

That being said, when Serena and Lily reached out to see if I would like to participate in a little bedroom/guest room spruce up, I knew our master would be the perfect room to choose.

Their bedding is so amazing and I am now a huge fan of linen sheets.  And this time, instead of doing completely all white bedding, I decided to throw a little gray and plaid in the mix, and I really love the way it turned out!

Also, the sleep well event is going on right now at Serena and Lily where you can save up to 30% on all bedding and beds.  So if you've been thinking about updating your bedding or splurging on a new set of sheets, now is the perfect time!

Below are a few pictures of the bedding I chose along with three things I always like to do to make our guests feel more at home and welcome when they come and stay.

1 - When having guests come I always like to have fresh flowers by the bed.  It gives it that special touch, and I always think it makes guests feel a little pampered.

2 - I always like to have a fresh candle by the bed along with some sort of reading material.  And I like to change the candle out depending on the season.  The mulled cider candle I currently have in our bedroom has the perfect holiday scent.

3 - When the weather is cooler I like to have a quilt at the end of the bed just in case our guests get cold, plus, it just makes the bed look and feel more cozy and put together.  And oh my, the Sutter Linen Quilt is the stuff dreams are made of.

3 - Oh yeah, and if possible, I think it's nice to have a new set of fresh towels in the bathroom for your guests.  If you're currently looking for new towels, I must say, this Napa bath collection is by far the most plush and softest set I have ever felt.

Mountain Trip - What's In My Suitcase

Good morning from Dollywood, sweet friends!!!  We arrived here late last night and currently both kiddos are still sleeping!  But oh my goodness, what we've seen of this place so far has been amazing!  We are about to head to breakfast and then hit the park.  And since I can't ride many of the rides, I'll make sure I snap lots of photos and share stories on Instagram.  My stories may just end up being all the yummy food though...ha!  I'm already dreaming of the cinnamon bread and pumpkin funnel cakes :)

Since it's going to pretty cool here this week, I packed a lot of my new fall attire so I am sharing everything I brought along in my suitcase below.  I'll be sharing more about the size and fit today on stories, so check those out if you prefer to see the outfits that way.

Organized Traveling - Packing Essentials for Adults and Kids

I've been meaning to write this post for a while now, as far as how to make packing easier along with essentials that help you stayed organized when packing for yourself and/or your entire family.  Being that we are heading out on a little four day getaway, I figured now was the perfect time!

Todd and I have traveled quite a bit with our kids and over the years I've discovered some must-have essentials that make packing for a family of four much easier.  Once our new edition arrives it may be a different story so I might end up being the one that needs recommendations and tips when the time comes...ha!

I would like to add the fact that I own everything that's mentioned below, so these aren't just products I think would make traveling and packing easier, but they are actually products that I know work and ones that I use on every trip that we take.

I've had this Calpack set now for almost four years and it's AMAZING!  The smaller one is perfect as a carry on and the larger one has so much space and rolls so smoothly.  I have it in the pink color, but it's no longer available.  But seriously, I am really loving this new marble design...maybe I'll snag the black marble for Todd this Christmas!

Since the set above is no longer available in the pink color, I did find this expandable luggage set in pink that is a good bit cheaper, but also has awesome reviews.

This bag is the BEST for travel!!  I usually bring it as my purse/second carry-on and it holds so much, plus, it has so many pockets and compartments to keep everything organized!

Another one of my favorite things about this bag is how it slides onto your larger suitcase to make airport travel and any long distance walks to your room a breeze!

These rolling duffle bags are a dream if you're traveling with kids!  The eight different pockets make it so easy to keep all of their things separate and organized, plus, they are light enough that both kids were able to roll them through the airport by themselves.  Also, the material is really nice and thick so you can tell these bags will last and will be able to take the rough and tumble of airport travel.  Oh yeah, they are also great for stacking on top of one another for long car travel as well.

These packing cubes are the BEST, and they make it so easy to keep all your clothes, toiletries, etc organized.

This jewelry organizer has a spot for everything and I love that it has layers along with snaps and zippers to keep all your jewelry in their place.

I don't carry this on all of our trips, but I do usually bring this along for bigger trips where I'm packing up a lot of makeup and skincare.  It is really made very well and can hold so much stuff, so it's really good to keep things organized and in one place on longer trips.

This is a must for your trunk regardless of whether or not you travel a lot!!  The cooler is so nice to have on long road trips to store food and drinks.

We use this organizer in the middle of the backseat between our kids, and it has been amazing for traveling and everyday stuff they like to bring along on car rides.  It also has two cup holders for drinks so it makes eating and drinking in the car a lot easier.

We love this cd/dvd case holder because it holds so many of our dvds and you can actually flip through without them sliding and falling out.

27 Week Bumpdate

Sweater runs tts, and for reference, I'm wearing a small.

Size of Baby: A head of lettuce

Weight Gain: 9 lbs

Gender: It's a GIRL!!!!!

Maternity Clothes:  I have these maternity jeans and these.  I also ordered these black maternity jeans and these leggings!  Also, I now have these pajamas in 2 colors and I am truly considering ordering a third!!

Sleep:  I haven't been sleeping great the last two weeks.  I've been waking up a lot having crazy dreams and having to go potty.

Missing:  Being able to sleep comfortably, and of course my wine :)

Cravings:  Chocolate, anything with a lot of carbs, apples, pineapple, orange, and banana juice.

Must Have ItemsThis maternity body pillow...I had to upgrade from my smaller pillow to this one and it supports my stomach and my back so much better.  This nighttime moisturizer and these built-in bra tanks

Hubby's Thoughts:  Still on cloud nine and enjoys me being pregnant WAY more than I do...ha!  He talks to her all the time and he thinks it's the coolest thing ever to see her move. I swear, you would think it's the first time he's ever seen this, but I will say, it does feel almost new again since it has been so long.

Best Part of This Week:  Deciding on a NAME!!!!  I will share soon :)

Five on Friday

Cheers to finally being FRIDAY!!

ONE //

The weather here in Charleston has felt AMAZING the last couple of days!!  It has been so nice to finally bust out my jeans and sweaters.  And speaking of sweaters, I found the softest and the coziest sweater/cardigan EVER!

** Size down as is does run big.  For reference, I'm wearing a small. **

TWO //

I made the easiest Pasta E Fagioli last night for dinner and everyone in our house LOVED it!  Plus, it made a huge pot and I was able to save a container for leftovers while also freezing an additional container for another night.  So technically, one pot made dinner for three nights!  Also, if you don't have a dutch oven, I highly recommend the one we have and it's currently on sale.  We have the 5qt, but I just ordered the 7qt by the same brand in the cool gray color

THREE //

Carson and Taylor have picked out their Halloween costumes for this year.  I must admit, I was very happy with both of their choices, but Carson's seriously cracks me up!  His favorite movie of all time is Inside Out, and when he told me he wanted to be Anger from the movie so I went on the hunt. Thankfully, it wasn't too much of a hunt because I found it on Amazon within five minutes!  This is the only picture I have of my fast flying butterfly  :)

And because I can't believe how big our babies are, here's a little flashback from past Halloweens when they were truly our little babies :(

Baseball Player // Zebra with puppy ears :)

FOUR //

Loft just started their Friends and Family sale where you can save 40% off your entire purchase!! Their fall collection is SO good this year and I'm excited to try a few of their maternity pieces as well. Below are a few of my absolute favorites for fall.

Use the code FRIENDS to save 40% off at checkout!

FIVE //

These are such good reminders, and ones that I feel I need to look at and focus on more.
