My Everyday Makeup Routine

Let me first start by saying that I am by no means a beauty blogger, but a lot of you guys have requested that I share a post with my everyday makeup routine.  So...ask, and you shall receive.

As I mentioned above, even though I'm not a beauty blogger, I LOVE all things skincare and makeup! And fun fact, I actually went to cosmetology school where I graduated with a degree in hair, esthetics, and nails. And while I was in school I also worked part time for Clinique. It was, and probably always will be my favorite job ever (besides being a mom of course).

OK, now I'm getting off subject a little...so back to this mama who is now in her early thirties and requires a little more than blush and mascara to keep her looking fresh and alive...ha!

Listed below are all the products I use in my everyday makeup routine and they all are products that I don't leave the house without. And yes, this includes the gym and trips to the grocery store. In the words of my mama, I just feel better when I have my "face on".

I recently started using a primer, and let me tell you, I'm kicking myself for not using it sooner. I tried out a few before I decided on this one. In the end, this one won because A) it feels like pure silk on my face, B) my pores have never looked smaller, and C) my makeup looks so much smoother all day.

I have no words for how much I love this foundation. I've never been a liquid girl and before I became obsessed with this one I used this compact, but then they changed the formula :( And I'm actually happy they did, because the the second I swiped this one across my face I knew this one was a winner! It gives the most even application, and while it feels super lightweight, it still gives you full coverage all day.

The bareMinerals original foundation has been a tried and true favorite of mine for almost ten years now. I've tried plenty of other powders and there is just nothing that compares! And changing from my old brushes to these new Sigma brushes has been a game changer!

Nars blush truly lives up to their 5 star reviews and this angled contour brush helps it glide on your cheeks even better. The super orgasm color is a new one for me and I am loving the soft pink shade with a touch of shimmer.

I use this everyday...either as my base, or my base and shadow. It helps my eyeliner (I use this one) go on smoothly and gives you the perfect neutral shade on your eyelid.

I feel like I've tried over 100+ mascaras and this one takes the cake. It gives me full, thick lashes without having to use a primer. It doesn't flake off, and most importantly, it doesn't clump my lashes!

This stuff makes you look bright and awake, even if you're dead tired...hello mom that gets woken up at least once a night by the dog or a certain five year old that suddenly needs midnight snuggles. I use this right above my cheekbones and find that it applies best with the sigma foundation brush.

Sorry for my awkward face, but I wanted to show you exactly how I apply it.

I've been using this shimmer brick for almost two years now and it's simply amazing! I swipe it over my cheeks (over my blush), my nose, and my jawline. It gives you the most gorgeous, natural all over glow.

Buxom Full-On Lip Polish (color is Kristen)

Last, but not least...lips! I am way too embarrassed to tell y'all how many lip glosses I own, but I wanted to share this one because it's one of my favorites and it looks good on almost every skin tone. I am currently loving it with this Chanel lipliner (in pretty in pink) and then blending them together with the built-in lip brush. These two mixed together is perfect for spring / summer pink lips.

So there you have you guys, this is my everyday makeup routine. And just like with most of my clothes I also buy almost all of my beauty products from Nordstrom. They cary very single one of my favorite brands and then some. And I love the added bonus of free shipping and returns, and that includes all skincare and makeup too!

Thank you Nordstrom for partnering on this post. All makeup products and brands were selected and paid for by myself.
