Loving Lately....Swimsuits and Coverups

We leave in less than four weeks for St. John on our girls trip, so I've got swimsuits and cover-ups on the brain. That being said, if I don't get my ass in gear and get to the gym, I may not even take my cover-up off ;)

I'm totally digging the high-waisted bottoms and the one-pieces this year though, so at least I don't have to be bikini ready in four weeks...ha!

I have this exact material and scallop detail in the light pink bikini from last year, and the quality and fit are amazing!

Love the all the fun colors and cool patterns.

Yes, yes, and yes to all the adorable and colorful poms!

The print and the cut of this swimsuit are both stunning!

Oh Lilly, you never disappoint.

Obsessed with the ruffle cups and rushed sides.

Fun print, double lined, and under $60! I call that a win for sure.

This, my friends, may just be my favorite of them all...everything about it is absolutely gorgeous!

I love the pale pink stripes on this adorable romper, plus the fact that the bottoms sit high....you know, so you can still enjoy your cocktails and yummy food :)

How beautiful are all of these swimsuits and cover-ups?! They all have me dreaming of the crystal blue water and relaxing poolside with my girls.

Now off to go sign up for my first class at Fit Culture!! I am so excited and super nervous, y'all. Trying new things always makes me a little anxious at first. If you've ever tried any of these classes, I would love to hear your thoughts.

Snippets from our weekend

// Our little man turned eight on Thursday, so we celebrated his birthday this past Saturday with some of his buddies at Velocity Air Sports.

How adorable is this Yokai birthday cake!?! And y'all, it tasted just as good as it looks! For anyone interested, we used Janie from Charleston Cakes Etc.

The kids had so much fun, and their favorite by far was the dodgeball area.

Frances Moon and Taylor being little dare devils :) I have a feeling these two are going to be trouble together in a few years!

// Bought the softest, and I do mean the softest top ever last week. As far as sizing goes, it runs tts and I'm wearing the xs.

Peplum Top // Jeans also here // Necklace // Clutch // Pumps

// On Friday, my parents came to town for Carson's party, and my mom brought this old wedding magazine that she had purchased the year her and my dad got married!

I seriously don't think my mom and I have laughed this much in years! I mean gracious, clearly hot tubs were in, along with being half nude in magazines...haha! #bless #cheerstotheeighties

// Off the shoulder tunic perfection! I love that it can be worn tucked in with jeans, or with leggings and flats.

// Sunday was low key. I spent most of the day in my pajamas organizing and going trough fabrics for the sectional that will be going upstairs.

You guys know these Nordstrom lingerie are my favorite pajamas ever, so I was so excited to see them in this adorable shortie set

// Oh yeah, and I finally found a jacket for our upcoming mountain trip! I ordered two different jackets, and this one was my favorite. And the best part was that it was (and still is) 60% off! For sizing reference, it runs tts, but I went with the small to have more room for layering underneath.

What I'm Cooking // What I'm Wearing

Happy Friday, loves! I hope you all have some fun weekend plans! We will be celebrating our big EIGHT year old on Saturday, and I'm so excited to meet all his new friends from school and also see our family from back home. I meant to post this earlier in the week, but life was busy and I never got around to it....better late than never, right :)

What I cooked //

I recently purchased the cookbook, Eat Happy, and so far I'm really enjoying it. Last week, I made the enchilada casserole, and you guys, it was so easy and so delicious!! The kids, however, wanted nothing to do with it so they got chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, and apples instead. And for those of you with picky kids, we actually had these nuggets and this macaroni.

And as far as the homemade taco seasoning, I used Danielle Walker's, but only because I had some pre-mixed on hand.

Randoms on a Wednesday

Good morning friends, and happy hump day!

// Our home is SLOWLY coming together. I put slowly in all caps because we do not have a single room completely finished yet. I really want to take my time and pick pieces that I truly love in this house, and I'm finding out that takes a lot of searching and time. With that being said, our living room is the closest room to being finished, so I thought I would share a little peek.

I can't tell you how much we all LOVE the new couches. They are so comfy and I love that they are a darker color, so now I'm not stressing about stains.

PS - The chairs in the windows will be replaced soon with built-in window seats.

// With the move, things have been so crazy around here and date nights have been non-existent. But that's about to change, because as of next week, we are bringing back our weekly date nights.....can I get a whoop whoop!! I'm so excited that I already have my dress picked out and ready!

Trust me when I tell you that you NEED this dress, ladies. It is made out of the softest, stretchiest cotton, and it's super flattering. For sizing reference, I'm wearing the small in the regular. The petite measurements were super short, so I ordered the regular. I'm so glad I did because the length is perfect.

// Mara Hoffman is currently having a HUGE sale! Lots of great pieces to grab now and save for spring. I have listed a few of my favorites below.

Tunic Dress - was $297, now $118.

Swing Dress - was $268, now $80.

Cropped Leggings - was $128, now $38.

// Speaking of new clothes for spring, I've been eyeing a lot that I'm loving. I may just have to snag a few of them now to wear on a girls trip I'll be taking to St. John in less than a month!! I'm so excited to get away with some of my favorite girls, and relax by the clear blue water! If you guys have ever been to St. John, I'd love to hear some of your recommendations on what to do, where to eat, and where to shop :)

Bundled Up

As if our lives haven't been crazy enough lately, I decided to toss in two trips in February!

The first trip is in two weeks and we are heading to Sapphire, NC with six couples who happen to be some of our closest friends, plus...ALL of our kids! There will be a total of 14 kids and 12 adults, but don't worry, we've rented a big ol' 9,000 square foot cabin to hold all of us. I can't tell you how excited we all our about this trip, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there will be some snow!  But either way, it's going to be COLD and with Charleston, and it's crazy warm winters, I've got a few things that I need to grab before our trip. So, I thought it would be fun to share what I'm planning on packing so I'll be warm and bundled for our upcoming trip!

Sorel Boots also here (on sale)

I purchased these last week and they arrived over the weekend. As much as I love them, I think I should have gone up a size. They feel way too snug around my man-calves...ha! So, my plan was to send these back and re-order them in size seven. Since I've shared them on Instagram, I've gotten some mixed reviews. So, what do you guys think? I would love to hear if you have a pair of these, and what your thoughts are on them!?!

I haven't yet decided if I'm going to go with this jacket or this one, but they are both on sale and have awesome reviews. Either way, I don't think I can go wrong!

Of course I'm planning on packing a few pair of these and these (they are both fabulous leggings), but I'm also thinking of ordering these as well. I love the arrow block print, along with the length for lounging or underneath boots.

How adorable is this tee, y'all!?!? I love that you can tie up the front or the back. And how cute would it be with the leggings that I just posted above!

If this beanie is anything like my favorite cardigans by Barefoot Dreams, then I may just have to grab one in every color :) But seriously, it appears that it's made out of the same exact material, so I know I'll be living with this thing on my head in the mountains.

And last, I will most definitely be packing my North Face vest (which is now on major sale) and my favorite Ugg boots. There aren't many sizes left in either, so I would grab them now if you want them.
