My brain is all over the place these days, so I figured it's the perfect timing for a good ol' brain dump post :)
// Last week, we found out that our house will not be ready until mid-November. After a few tears and screaming at our builder, I feel much better! Haha...I'm totally kidding. Believe it or not, I actually handled the news really well, because let's be honest, I already had a feeling things would get pushed back. I keep reminding myself, "patience is the key to happiness" and it will all be worth it in the end. Now, if I could only figure out where to get some patience :)
On a happy note, a lot of tile was laid yesterday! I really wanted to wait and show you all some pictures when it's all grouted and clean, but you guys have requested some pictures so I figured it would be fun to document the process.
Carson's bathroom - Tile is Retro Hexagon by Daltile and grout will be platinum.
Master bath - Tile is Florentine porcelain tile in Carrara 12 x 24 and grout will be smoke gray.
Taylor's bath - tile is Octagon and dot ceramic mosaic tile and grout will be smoke gray as well.
// Here are a few recent purchases that have me ready for fall.
Scoop Neck Shift Dress (only $48) // Ugg Boots // Bracelet
*Dress and boots run tts. For sizing reference, I am wearing a 6.5 in the boots and an xs in the dress.
Ribbed Cardigan // Tank // Jeans // Booties (on sale)
*Cardigan runs super big. I'm wearing the xs, but could have easily worn the xxs. I plan on exchanging it for that size.
V-neck Sweater (only $39) // Tank // Necklace // Jeans // Baseball Cap
* Sweater runs large. I'm wearing the xs and have plenty of room. Depending on the way you want it to fit, you may want to size down!
// I've had this pleated hem sweater since last year and it's still one of my favorites...I just saw that they re-stocked it again this year! You can also see my post here for the full look.
// And last, I am co-hosting an event with some of my favorite blogger gals at Roberta Roller Rabbit
tomorrow evening from 6-8. I hope some of you will stop by for a drink, nibbles, and discounted shopping!
My husband is a homebuilder and never sets closing dates until 30 days out because of this very reason! Homes never finish on time! Hopefully you will be closed in time for Thanksgiving! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love that cardigan! I just moved to the Charleston area (Mount Pleasant) so I might try to stop by there tonight. :) Your home looks great so far!
ReplyDeleteOh yay Cara!! Please come in, I would LOVE to meet you in person!!! And thank you ;)
DeleteGO ORGANIC! The comprehensive way is a characteristic method of doing this. Natural vivid vegetables and organic products are a decent method to begin. Natural squeezing is another approach to get the full advantages of brain supplements. Facts
