Babies in blue jeans......

We all woke up extra early on Sunday got dressed and headed to our neighborhood park. We wanted to get there while it was still cool outside. I tossed myself and the kids in our new jeans from DL1961. The girls over there were so nice and sent us all a pair to try. Let's just say none of us were disappointed!!

** Don't forget you can save 20% off of your order at DL1961 with the code "doitindl20"!!!!

The little boys jeans fits Carson to a tee and I love that they have an adjustable waist!

I am thinking Taylor's new jeans are making her happy too :) Or maybe it was the fact daddy was making silly faces! Either way, I think she looks adorable in them!

I am just smitten with mine as well. I did have mine hemmed a few inches because I wanted to wear mine with flats or booties. So girls between 5'4-5'6 these will be perfect on you!!

Loving that mine are tapered at the leg being that I prefer that look with flats.

Snippets from our weekend

Hey hey, Happy Monday!! I am off to the gym, the IPhone doctor (mine shattered this weekend), and then the grocery store! I am planning on cooking up something new and healthy this week so I will definitely report back if it's yummy!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We laid pretty low this weekend and had some much needed family time. We finished a few projects around the house, changed out all the lighting, and made our finial decision about painting the cabinets......we decided it's best to paint them!! I am not even going to tell you guys how many trips I made to Lowe;s trying to find the perfect light bulb to make the cabinets flow better. In the end, I am way too OCD and they would just bother me. I know it's going to be a pain, and my kitchen will again be in shambles, but in the end I really just want bright white cabinets! On a happy note we now have a backslash and I am in love!!! But speaking of lights, do you guys have any suggestion on what bulbs to get? The ones I have in now are the bright white 3500K. I am still not 100% happy with these as they make my very white subway tile seem off white. I am so confused, who knew there were so many bulb choices? Any suggestions?

Friday night Todd and I went to a birthday party for one of our neighbor friends! We had a great time and it was so nice to catch up with our neighborhood friends we hadn't seen in a while. We didn't stay out too late, but late enough for me to cave and get my beloved Taco Bell on the way home. I am proud to say it was my first fast food meal in 3 weeks. I have really been trying hard to just cut that out all together and so far (besides Friday night) I've been doing great. I've also traded in my half and half sweet tea for water, and I must say, that's been the hardest. It's just something about that Taco Bell Mexican pizza I can't resist! Ha! I am really thinking I should try this recipe, it's got to be better for you right?!?

On Saturday we busted out our first smore's of the season! It's one of our favorite things to do. There's just something so awesome about the cool air, a fire, and melted chocolate marshmallow goodness!! Not to mention, our kids love making them! I think I may make a little smore bar for some girlfriends of mine that are coming over for pizza and wine this week. I am thinking throw some Reese's and dark chocolate in the mix.

On Sunday we promised Carson a trip to the Halloween store. He has been asking non-stop to go and get some things to decorate our yard. I know it looks so tacky, but he loves it and his smile is totally worth my yard looking a mess for a month :) He keeps telling me that he can't wait for his friends to see his cool, scary yard, "I bet there going to freak out mom".

We ended up grabbing a few things from Target and then heading to Spirit Halloween! Y'all, that place is creepy scary, we did't last long in there before Carson said he wanted to leave. When we left he said, "I don't know why I wanted to go there so bad, that place is way too scary for me, plus, that cat jumping out at me was not funny at all so why was that lady laughing at me?". Bless his heart, he almost leaped across the store. :)

And our spooky yard.................

Last, this picture just melts my heart! Early Sunday morning we headed to the park to snap a few pictures for an upcoming blog post (probably tomorrow) and I snapped this picture of Todd and Taylor. It really may be my new favorite. He always begs Taylor for kisses and she usually tells him "no" just to tease him, but this time she went running to him and gave him a big one. I was so happy I had my camera out! Love these two so much!

6 on Friday.........

ONE //
If you guys would please take a minute and pray for my friend Katherine. Her mother was diagnosed in 2011 with Alzheimer's (you can read her story here). My heart breaks for Katherine and her family. I can't even imagine what it must be like to have your mother go through something like this at such a young age.

I am all over this for breakfast next week! These all look amazing. I will be sure to report back which is one my favorite! Man, I love toast so much!

Remember these jeans I blogged about last week? Well, I ordered them and they are amazaballs!! They are so soft and the rise is perfect! They are a little long on me so I just gave them a good cuff. You can save 20% off of your first order with the code "doitindl20"
Jeans  // Shirt  use code LSJ-HWH for free shipping // Pumps // Necklace

FOUR //
Taylor becomes funnier by the day you guys! She has such a spunky personality, but she is also ALWAYS into something. Her new thing when I ask her to do something she doesn't want to do is to put her fingers in her ears and tell me, "I can't hear you mama". I mean she is two y'all....how does she already come up with this stuff :)

I know this picture is a little blurry, but remember this vest from last year!?! I know a lot of you said it sold out and you were bummed you didn't get it, but you can now because it's back at Loft! They are having as huge sale 40% off of EVERYTHING!!!!!

SIX  //
The kitchen is coming along!! The backsplash is being installed today and next week the cabinets are being painted (along with some touchup work...AKA - all the exposed wood you see). I am struggling with whether or not we should paint the cabinets because they actually look lighter with the marble and I wasn't expecting that to be the case.  They are the lightest off-white right now, but I think a bright high gloss white will make them pop even more! Odds are they will get painted. What's y'alls thoughts on this...would you paint them or leave them? I can't wait to have it all finished and show you guys a completed kitchen.

Rainy Days.....

Y'all, it's been raining cats and dogs here all week long. I kid you not when I tell you that my Hunter boots get more use than any shoe in my closet come fall and winter, well, besides my running shoes. I actually wear them in the winter with my wellie socks even when it's not raining because they are just so warm and comfy.

So yeah, I made good on my word and purchased the Lafayette 148 New York Vest. Someone else must have loved it as well because that bad boy sold out fast :) It really is such a great piece and the quality is so fabulous! Not to worry though, you know Nordstrom has you covered with a similar look  here and here, and that second one is on major sale!!!

Outfit Details
Vest sold out, similar here  and here // Leggings (suck you in like no other)

There have been some great new arrivals from Lafayette 148 New York . You can check out some of my favorites below.

Look for Less

Slide on over Rag and Bone because you have yourself a twin, and guess what, she is less than half your price :) I think I might just have to take the plunge on these!!

Also available in black here.

The plaid shirt is huge right now!! This one looks really similar to some of the more expensive brands I've seen  floating around the web. Would be so cute layered with a vest too!

Another favorite of mine, the shift dress. This one reminds me of  Lilly Pulitzer. It would look so good with knee boots or booties.

Yeah, I think I'll take this one for $70.00 over this look-a-like for $798.00!!! I mean mercy, that's a lot of money some fuzzy goodness.

As much as I adore these Tory Burch flats, I think if I am going for leopard. I'll stick with the ones for $49.95!!! Plus, I love the pointy toe too :)

I am totally digging the hearts this year, but I can promise I am digging them a lot more at $59.00 than I am here at $268.00! Hearts are one of those things that could fade out, so I would definitely do the look for less with this one!

Since we are chatting on how to save while shopping, I thought you guys may want to know that Vince Camuto is now having a 25% off sale!!! I promise you will not regret these booties, I have them in two colors and I love them so much! And y'all, these riding boots are beautiful!!

Pinterest Lately........

Do you ladies love Pinterest as much as I do?  I kinda took a break from it this summer. I just didn't really have the time to sit and browse while the kiddos where home with me, but now that school has started back I am finding myself on Pinterest again!

I love all the inspirational quotes, the recipes, the DIY ideas, outfit inspiration, the awesome kids treats and crafts, and the amazing home decor!! It's such a fun little place to visit. So, I thought I would share with you guys some of my favorite pins I've come across recently.

We are big chicken eaters around here, so I can't wait to make this soon.

I mean, are you kidding me?! What's not to love about this gorgeous nursery?

Oh this is so good. I love all her ideas, plus I really needed help with this for fall. The cuff is my favorite, besides a dress or skirt.

How cute are those Hershey bats?

Pretty sure Rocky would love a bed like this. Perfect for the porch.

I love this.

You can get one here for $83.00!!
