Wish List Wednesday

It's been a while since I've shared a Wish List Wednesday post with you guys, but I've got some pretty awesome things on the list right now! I thought you all might want to take a peek.

So in love with this dress, the sleeves, the color, and the cut! Oh yeah, and if pink isn't your color, it also comes in black and white.

My absolute favorite pajamas ever just came out in this gorgeous print for spring!! And hurry if you want them because sizes are going fast!!! And if you tend to get hot at night they also have this print in this short set as well.

How cute is this top!!? I think it looks great paired with jeans like the model has on, but I also think it would look super adorable paired with shorts and sandals in the summer. And you just can't beat the price!

Give me all the leopard! You guys know I LOVE my leopard mules (by the same brand) so I thought I would share these since they have a back on them since some of y'all said that was your preference.

I've obviously been living under a rock because I'm just now trying out these Spanx Moto leggings. You may have seen them on my Instagram stories yesterday, and let me just tell you, these DO live up to all the hype! They make you look and feel about 10 pounds lighter! For sizing reference, I ordered them in the small and they fit perfect.

If you've never put on anything from the Lou and Grey signature soft collection, then you are missing out big time!! It feels just like wearing pajamas, but you actually look cute and can wear it out of the house. And they're having a big 60% off sale with a lot of great items like this warm fuzzy vest and this signature soft swing dress.

I may be more excited about these bras than I am anything else on this list! Ha...shows my age and my lameness right!?!? But whatever, finding a good bra that finally fits has been life changing for me. And I am so happy to see that Thirdlove just released a few new styles in my random size :) It's a 32 C 1/2  for anyone curious. I'm telling you, take the test...it really works! I just ordered this one, this one, and this strapless one. And don't forget to grab yourself some of their matching three for $27 panties as well.

I am and will always be a Canon girl! They make the best quality cameras and they are the most user friendly ones you can find. And as much as I LOVE my big dslr one, I also really want one that I can just toss in my purse and have for everyday, easy access. And you can't beat the price for this awesome bundle pack! Plus, the reviews are awesome on this camera!

Dryspun Finish Dry Spray

4.

And last on my list is this  Dryspun Finish Dry Spray! I chopped my hair pretty short yesterday and I am dying to try some new loose waves with my new cut! I've heard rave reviews about this stuff. It's suppose to give you hair lift, volume, and texture all in one. And I also ordered this ceramic 1.3 inch round brush to make blowdrying my shorter hair even easier.

Carson's Camping Party

I still can't wrap my brain around the fact that my baby boy is NINE! And even though he is no where close to being a baby in age, he will always be my baby.

If you've been reading here for a while you already know that I love to plan birthday parties! But the older my kids get, the harder it becomes to pull off the "cool" party while still letting my creative juices flow, but this year Carson said he wanted to have a sleepover with a few of his friends so I suggested they do it out back in a big tent and he could have a "campout sleepover". Luckily, he thought my idea was awesome and this is how the "campout" theme came about!

Look at that happy smile...melts my heart.

The whole crew was still going strong the next morning and ready to jump and play on the bounce house...man I wish I still had that kind of energy :)

The party was a huge success and everyone had a great time, especially the birthday boy! And four out of the seven boys slept in the tent all night, and when I say slept, I mean played and chatted until 3 in the morning...ha!

Details and Sources

I took all the photos and that is why the lighting isn't perfect in all of them. I'm still learning how to adjust my settings quickly when the light changes or when I'm moving from outside to inside. Either way, I get asked quite often what kind of camera and different lenses I use. The camera body I have is this Cannon EOS 7D and the two lenses I use the most are this one and this one. But of you are looking for one a cheaper lens to start out with, I also have this one and it does really good as well.

Where we are headed this summer + Resort Style Picks + Our Favorite Tropical Vacations

Happy Friday, ladies!! I'm so sorry this post has taken me so long, but it has been a busy week around here. I've felt like a chicken with it's head cut off all week long...ha!

Todd and I finally decided on Beaches Turks and Caicos for our family trip this summer and we couldn't be more excited!! So excited that I've already started looking up resort attire for myself and the kids! And I feel like I can justify it because we do live in Charleston and during the summer it's always dresses, shorts, and swimsuits around here!

Now, moving along to some of the tropical places that we have traveled and loved.

Hat // Swimsuit (40% off) // Cover-up

This trip was hands down our favorite trip! I can't even begin to describe how amazing this place was. If you want to see my full recap then you can read that here.

PROS:
* Large Beautiful Rooms with large bathrooms and they all have a furnished balcony. And 99% of them have stunning views.
* AMAZING food.
* The most gorgeous property with the prettiest plants, palms, and lagoons.
* 5 pools, including an adults-only pool, a kiddy pool, and a 10,000-square-foot free-form pool.
* Kids Club with daily activities; kids 5 and under eat free.
* High-end Willow Stream Spa with several treatment rooms and a lovely pool.

CONS:
* It's expensive
* The property is huge so you have to do a lot of walking. We didn't mind because the property is so gorgeous, but wanted to add that just in case some of you do.

This trip is second on my list and we had the best girls trip ever here. You can read my full recap and see all of my pictures right here.

This was definitely a girls trip for the books. You can read my full recap and see all of my pictures here.

PROS:
* Wonderful food, and the friendliest locals
* Two beachfront restaurants
* Safe to leave the resort
* Fun for couples, girls trips, and family vacations

* 24 hour room service (this was awesome)
* Large Villas all complete with a full kitchen
*Beautiful water and soft white sand

CONS:
Pricy food and drinks (at the resort)
A lot of walking (the resort here is large as well)
Small spa and pretty basic

Almost identical Swimsuit (and it's on sale)  // Cover-up (on sale) //

We took this trip with a bunch of our friends and we had an absolute blast!! That being said, if you're going with your family or just your significant other, I would probably recommend a different resort.

PROS :
* Huge gorgeous modern rooms. All with balconies and whirlpools on them.
* Lots of entertainment and nightlife.
*Hotel right on the beach and beach was never over crowded.
* Beautiful full spa with a pool and a salon.

CONS :
Terrible food.
Gets pretty loud and wild at night.

Unfortunately, I have zero digital pictures from this trip. Todd and I went when Carson was a baby and it was before iphones and social media were all the rage...ha! I have some old school printed photos somewhere, but I didn't have time to dig those up this week.

PROS:
* Large property with tons of amenities and activities
* Good food and drink that are all inclusive
* Resort is close to the airport
 * Large pool as well as whirlpools overlooking the ocean
*Beautiful crystal clear blue water

CONS:
* Not safe enough to leave the resort
* Rooms were okay but nothing like the online pictures

Todd and I have been to Key West as well (we didn't really like it), but that was a long time ago and maybe they have cleaned the island up a bit now??

Now your turn!!! I would LOVE to hear where all you guys have traveled and where your favorite places are? Next year we would like to take the kids to either Hawaii, Costa Rica, or maybe even Italy. Todd wants to go to Alaska, but I told him he better call a friend because this mama has no desire to go there and freeze her ass off!

Softest Jeans + $45 Ribbed Knit Cardigan

Good morning ladies, and happy hump day!!

I am excited to bring y'all another laid back casual look.

I know you're probably tired of seeing me rock these sneakers, but they are just so comfy! And how cute are these soft gold leather ones they just came out with.

And yes, caps are my new thing. That being said, the main reason is to cover up my horrendous roots...ha! But another reason is that I don't have to worry about styling my hair :)

I also love how this cardigan and these jeans can also be paired with different pieces to give you more of a dressy/professional look.

This and That + Perfect Bra Found

Todd and I enjoyed a weekend to ourselves this past weekend and it was SO NICE!! I was a little worried about what we would do with ourselves considering going out to dinner and having alcohol were off the table, but we ended up having one of the best weekends we've had together in a long time, and honestly, I didn't really even miss going out for dinner or the wine...okay, maybe I missed the wine a little bit...haha!

My new Thirdlove Bra came in on Friday, and y'all, it's like the bra angels came down and made this bra just for my wonky boobs. I can't even being to tell you guys how good it feels to finally have a bra that actually fits. Take this test right now and even if it gives you a weird size, trust the system and order it!

Todd and I drank a log of coffee and watched a lot of movies. And when I say we watched lots of movies, we fit in three and that's not including the one we saw in the theater. So if you're looking for a good movie On Demand, I recommend The House and Marshall.

And we also did a lot of this...it was pure bliss. I'm pretty sure this furry fella was really enjoying all the quietness and cuddle time.

And of course I'm wearing my favorite pajamas! And how gorgeous is the new print in this brand and this style!!

We also did a lot of cooking/meal prepping and it feels so good to not have to think about what I'm going to cook for dinner each night this week. I'll share all the recipes that we made later this week, but I had to share this one now! It was so easy and so delicious!

We just omitted the honey because it didn't call for much. But I did read that for honey substitution that you can soak dates and then mush them.

Todd and I own this Instant Pot and we love it! It's so easy to use and easy to clean, not to mention, it cooks a complete meal in less than 20 minutes!

// On Saturday afternoon, we enjoyed a couples massage at The Woodhouse and it was amazing!

// After our massage we went to the movies. If you haven't seen the movie 12 Strong then make sure you go check it out. It was such a touching a movie, and it really makes you realize all that our soldiers give up and all they do for our freedom and safety.

// I had a lot of sizing questions about this North Face fleece pullover and these leggings that I showed you guys this weekend. And since Instastories go away, I thought I would share the details on here as well. The Fleece runs on the small side and I'm wearing it in the small, but I feel like the medium would probably fit as well. The leggings run tts and I'm wearing them in the small.

// If you're on the hunt for a really good mascara that won't break the bank, order this one! It makes your lashes look super long and so full.

// I don't think I've ever received as many dm messages about a product than when I shared these socks...haha! Y'all are clearly like me and love a good no-show sock! The price on these are unbelievable and the quality is great!

// And I'm also so excited that all of you are loving these oils as much as I do! Over the weekend a few of you asked which set was my favorite, and while I love them all, I think the Healing Solutions Best Blends is probably the one I use the most, especially during flu season!

You really can't go wrong either way because the relax and rejuvenate set are so good as well.

// And last thing today, I wanted to share this vapor bath that we use in the winter for the kids. It's kind of expensive, but a little goes a long way and it works so much better than the other vapors baths.

Hope y'all have a wonderful Monday! And make sure you check back Wednesday if you were interested in seeing all of the tropical vacations that Todd and I have taken in the past!
