Good morning guys...Happy Hump Day!
Over the last two weeks I've had a few messages via Insatastories to share my skincare routine with you guys. I love getting these messages/requests, so please keep them coming! It's so fun connecting with you guys on a more personal level and I really do enjoy hearing the topics that you guys are interested in.
Anyone that knows me personally knows that I NEVER leave my house without my makeup on. So, the picture I am about to share is not something I would normally share, but I figured that if I'm going to give you guys advice about skincare you guys deserve to see what my skin actually looks like without any makeup on.
I will start with my facial cleansers and my face mask.
Clinique Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser - This is what I use every evening to wash my face. The fact that it lathers and foams so well really helps me feel like all my makeup gets removed.
Clarisonic Mia also (on sale here) - If you guys do not have a Clarisonic you need one! I promise you this thing is a game changer. I use mine at least twice a week after I wash my face with my rinse off cleanser. And I love using the refreshing gel that comes with the Clarisonic, it leaves my face feeling so smooth and soft.
Bobbi Brown Instant Detox Mask - Taylor always freaks out when I put this mask on and she starts repeatedly saying, "Take it of mommy, take it off!"...haha! I use this mask once a week mostly in the evenings while I'm in the bath, which seems more convenient to let it sit on my face for five minutes. I can't tell you guys how much this mask has helped with my clogged pores and blackheads on my nose and forehead.
Rodial Bee Venom Cleansing Balm - Warning ladies, prepare yourselves to be hooked on this bee venom line. While I was in Dallas at the rS conference I was able to meet with the Rodial team. They sent me home with different samples of a few of their lines to test out and while I liked the Dragons Blood, it didn't hold a candle to their Bee Venom Collection . I use this cleanser every morning before my clarifying lotion and my moisturizer. It truly makes my face feel like silk.
Next comes toner, eye makeup remover, and all the fun moisturizers!
I live by the rule 'if ain't broke don't fix it' and that's how I feel about my Clinique Clarifying lotion and my 'take off the day' eye makeup remover. I realized about four years ago that I needed something a little stronger when it came to keeping my face moisturized and to help prevent all those fine lines and wrinkles.
Bee Venom Moisturizer - Say hello to the mack daddy of moisturizers, my friends. I have tried at least ten moisturizers over the last year and this one is by far the best!! It makes my face feel tighter immediately, while at the same time, super moisturized. I use this every morning after my clarifying lotion and also every evening after I was my face.
Bee Venom Eye Cream - There is a reason this eye cream is on backorder until September! If you struggle with dark circles or puffiness this stuff is going to be your best friend. I also apply this morning and evening after my moisturizer.
Bee Venom Super Serum - I've only been using this product for about a month now, but I can already tell a difference. I knew I needed to try it after reading these reviews considering how much I loved the rest of the bee venom line. This sucker ain't cheap by any means, but I really believe it's worth it. I only use a tiny bit (I am talking one small pump) every evening after I apply my moisturizer.
StriVectin Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner also here - After unclogging my pores with detox mask, I felt like my pores where huge and it's all I could see when I looked closely into the mirror. After trying three cheaper pharmacy brands I decided to go on a hunt and find the best pore minimizing product out there. After the first time I put this on over my pores I could tell I had found the winner. This stuff works like a charm and I can barely even see my pores now.
Bobbi Brown Extra Illuminating Balm also here - Technically, I guess I should have put this in a makeup post, but it is actually considered a moisturizer and it can be used all over your face, but for the look I wanted to achieve I prefer to use a small dab under my eyes as my very last step in my make-up. I showed you guys exactly how it works on Instastories yesterday, so if you missed it, it will be up for two more hours :)
Whew, bless you if you made it through this entire post, y'all! I also wanted to add that this post was not sponsored, these are the products that I truly love and use.
