Plum Pretty Sugar...........

Happy Monday Everyone!!!

We are at the beach enjoying our family vacation. There is nothing quite like a week of beach, pool, and together time. So happy to have my entire family in one house for a week.

I know you guys have heard me talk of Plum Pretty Sugar.  I am not kidding when I tell you I live in my  robe. I keep it on until the very last minute every morning, it's so soft and comfy. I swear my coffee just taste better in it ;)

Well get this, they now make clothes, and really pretty clothes at that. When I spotted these skirt sets I knew I wanted one! The colors and the patterns are so my style. Best part, the blouse and the skirt are made out of the same material as their robes so it's like being able to wear my robe in public, well kinda.

The colors are even more bright and fun in person, I am just smitten with mine. Plus you can mix and match the pattern and color you like best!

Outfit Details
Blouse in bobon c/o Skirt in verite //

My bracelet and necklace are by Gorjana, a favorite brand of mine. Right now they are having a summer sale with 30% off select styles. You can shop them all right here.
Love this Xo cuff so much!

6 things on Friday........

SIX:
I had to add one more thing today!!! Because when I spotted this Amanda Uprichard maxi for half off, I knew you guys needed to know!!! Bloomingdales just launched a huge sale, with some amazing brands!!! How sick is this dress, and the back has me swooning!! And this bikini ahh!!!!

  ONE:
My entire family and I  are heading out for a week long beach trip tomorrow. I am beyond excited, and Todd is taking the entire week off to be with us. Can I get a heck yeah for family vacation!!  I am taking my camera and computer with me, but I plan to keep it pretty short and sweet next week on the blog!

Here's a picture of all of them from our beach trip two years ago.

TWO:
Seeing those old pictures had me feeling sentimental, so I went back and looked at more. I came across this one and teared up. What happened to my fuzzy haired baby girl?

THREE:
Todd and I had our date night last night. It's quickly becoming my favorite night of the week. We were originally going to Edmund's Oast, but without a reservation the wait was going to be at least an hour so we hopped on over to The Tattooed Moose and had a great burger and some awesome duck fat fries. It's so nice to have a conversation without little kiddos interrupting ;)

FOUR:
Continuing right along with my Lilly obsession, I can't stop thinking about how I would love to add this elephant dress to my collection. Hey, it is under $100!!!

FIVE:

Last, one of my favorite online boutiques GoodNight Macaroon is having a flash sale today starting at 12 am on all the items below, you can save 30% on all these items. If you see something you want grab it now before it's gone!

This dress is included. And I am picking up this one today for fall.

And so is this one. Two of my favorites!

Tummy Tuck Update............

It has been almost 8 weeks since my surgery and I am feeling great! I thought I would answer a few questions that I've received and give you guys a picture update.

Your support and comments have been so amazing throughout this process, and have made me feel it's okay to share with you guys the "real me". Thank you so much for that.

Why I had the surgery.
When I was pregnant with Carson I was considered a rare case. They still to this day do not have an exact diagnosis for what happened to me while I was pregnant. I went into labor with him at 35 weeks. I had not dilated at all so they decided to put me on terbutaline (a medicine to stop contractions). After that I started to rapidly gain fluid. I am talking 5 to 6lbs a week. At 36 weeks my doctors decided to preform an Amniocentesis on me to see if Carson's lungs were developed and to try and figure out my fluid gain, and hopefully to preform a c-section. His lungs, unfortunately, were not developed enough so I was put on bed rest and a higher dose of terbutaline. During those last three weeks I gained 20 extra pounds of fluid! I have kinda blocked that time out in my head, because it was a scary and painful time. All of this to say, my skin ended up badly stretched and covered in marks. I was measuring at 43 weeks when they delivered him at 39 weeks if that tells you anything. My doctors said when they cut me open it was like a swimming pool of fluid gushed out. But, my sweet Carson was 100% healthy and came out with a great set of lungs and that is ALL that mattered.

After this pregnancy I was left with loose skin and stretch marks. I felt insure when in my swimsuit, and after having Taylor and deciding we were done having babies, I decided this was something I wanted fixed.

Here's a picture of me at 38 weeks with Carson, and our dog Rocky.

Would I have the surgery again?
Yes, I would 100% have the surgery again. The reason that I had this surgery was to remove loose skin on my stomach that couldn't be removed with any amount of exercise or diet. I also had a pocket of scar tissue above my c-section scar that I wanted removed. If you've had a c-section you probably know what I am talking about. That pocket of tissue and most of my loose skin are gone now. I still have some above my belly button, but I knew that could not be removed with a mini tummy tuck.  I was hopeful that my stretch marks would mostly be gone, but unfortunately they are still there. They do look a little less visible though and the doctor has plans to put me on Retin A over the winter to help with these.  He also plans to cut the loose skin above my belly button in a few months (it's that weird ball looking thing above). All in all I am happy that I had this surgery. It is still swollen and by the end of the day very noticeable. But it's a 6 month to a year healing process, so I know it's not done working its magic yet ;)

Have I changed my diet and exercise since the surgery?
Nope, not at all. But I had no intentions in doing that:) I know a lot of you follow me on Instagram and get to see some of the not so healthy stuff I eat. I have always believed in balance. I love burgers and cheese fries and I honestly don't think I could live without them. My friends joke that I have the appetite of a man ha! I usually try to eat healthy for two days then for the next two days I eat what I want. Then, the next day back to healthy eating, so on and so on. I feel like it shocks my body and I am able to maintain my weight by doing this. It's just what I have found that works for me. My exercise is also the same. I weight train hard twice a week, cardio hard once a week(usually sprints), and the other two days bare class or incline walking on the treadmill.

Wow, that was a lot. If you are still reading, thanks for your patience, time, and interest in my journey. You guys are so awesome!!

Some of you have mentioned that you can't see this is my swimsuit, and from a distance it's really not that noticeable. But, Todd is standing about 6 inches away from me with a 50 mm lens. So y'all are seeing the up close and personal real deal :)

Before:
Now you will notice I look a bit slimmer in my after. Some has to do with the loose skin, and to be honest the other has to do with my diet. I did make an effort at the beginning of summer to add in a few more clean eating days :)

 8 weeks After:

***************************************************************************************

I had planned to make this post all  tummy tuck, but realized late last night that Nordstroms did some crazy good markdowns. And I know with these brands they won't last long, so I wanted to share!!! They finally marked down this Parker dress that I have been drooling over for months!!!

A few more markdowns worthy of mentioning!

A few things............

Update: I just received this romper in the mail, and wanted to share with you guys!! So cute and under $50.00. Looks likes sizes are going fast, so if you want one I would get it now :) and my necklace is here!

* My little wild child Taylor has now decided that along with no naps, she likes to play in the nude. That silly girl takes off her clothes and her diaper when in her room alone. Thank goodness she is tiny because I now have to put her in little rompers that she can't get off. All of her sweet dresses will have to wait until this phase is over. Luckily, last week online I found these precious outfits at Old Navy that were cute and cheap.

Shoes // Bodysuit // Bubble

She's lucky she's cute ;)

* How amazing do these loaded chicken salad sandwiches look? I am not a big fan of mayo so these look right up my alley.

* I can't stop thinking about this maxi dress. Aren't the embroidered details amazing!!!
This one is equally as beautiful too! I know, I have maxi issues!!!

* In other exciting news, while chatting with my sister in law, she told me about her new blog that she and her husband recently launched, The Feud with Food!! I can vouch that they CAN cook, and most of the recipes they create are all on their own!! I know most of you are like me and love a good recipe, so make sure you go check it out!!!

* This is one of the cutest rompers I have ever seen!! I can't decide if I like the black or the white more?
And don't worry it's not that short, unless you are 5'9!

*  If I ever get to build my own dream kitchen I am most definitely using  this one for inspiration!!

Speaking of dream homes, have you guys seen this one?!!! Oh my stars, it's amazing!!!
I need that bed in my life.

The Outakes

Okay, so by now I am sure you have all discovered I am no model. I am totally kidding, you knew that from the beginning ha!

But, I really do enjoy doing the 'what I am wearing' post. It's become a part of mine and Todd's date night and he actually no longer complains. I think he secretly likes how good he's gotten with the camera.

All jokes aside, someone emailed to ask if he did family photo shoots :) I am pretty sure he was flattered, but I had to let them know he was not a real photographer. He's just my sweet husband who happily takes all my photos ;)

Todd and I really do try to have fun with it, and my favorite part is coming home and laughing at all the outtakes.  They always keep me cracking up! They also usually have me saying, "Dear Lord I hope I never make that face in public."

So I thought it would be fun for us to all laugh together at how goofy I actually look while doing these pictures. Usually out of the 50 he takes I can find three or four that are decent, but most of them definitely become the outtakes.

I hope this gives you a good Tuesday laugh.

Todd: Hey babe you have hair in your face.

Me: It will look cool, like the winds blowing it, just take the picture.

Todd: Babe, that did not look cool.

Note to self : the kissy face is just NOT sexy!!

I have no words for this one.

"Here can you hold this while I rest my eyes".

An umbrella is never a good idea, especially when it's not raining!

This is always a bad pose......always

In other not so funny but great news Kate Spade Saturday just announced their secret sale!!
So Many good things for such great prices!! I mean earrings and necklaces for $10.00!!!
I am loving this tank marked down to $39.00!!!

And Shopbop also just announced their 25% off already reduced sale!!! Oh it's going to be a good Tuesday!! Yep, this little number is coming home with me!! And how cute is this dress, such a steal!

Our Weekend

I hope you all had a lovely weekend!!
We packed ours jam full. It was full with lots of family and friend time, and to be honest, those are the best!!!

On Friday night we went to our favorite place in all the world Freshfields Village. I am being serious when I say that, this really is our favorite place. Carson and Taylor absolutely love it. They have the best time singing, dancing, and running free on the pretty green grass. It always makes me smile when I think of their sweet faces out there. I hope when they are older they will always remember these Friday nights.

A few of you on Instagram asked where Taylor's dress was from. It's Baby Gap found here

I of course  had to drop in the Lilly store Pink Boulevard while we were there. It was, after all, National Wear Your Lilly Day on Saturday. I pretty much fell in love with this dress. Normally the length is really long on Lilly maxis but surprisingly this one wasn't.

On Saturday we got up early, packed the car, and headed back home to see both our families. Saturday evening Todd's family had their family reunion. We had some of the best food, and we got to catch up and see lots of faces we haven't seen in a long time. It was on another beautiful farm with the prettiest horses. I am so sad I didn't take any pictures :(
My in-laws also live on a beautiful farm complete with donkeys and goats. We all love going out there so much. There is something so peaceful about a farm with a bunch of open land.

Todd and I dropped the kids off at my parents for the night and we headed out to meet some old friends for some drinks. I miss this girl so much, and feel so lucky when I get to catch up with her.

These boys are such goofs when the camera comes out.

Todd and I stayed at his parents cabin on the farm that night. This was the view we woke up to at 9 am!!!! Again, something so peaceful about a cabin in the woods on a farm.

On Sunday we headed to my parents to grill out with them and swim in their new pool. My mama has wanted a pool since I can remember, and last summer she finally got one! If you haven't noticed here on the blog, my daddy is pretty handy, and he built and put in most of the pool himself. He always impresses me with the way he can build things. I kept joking with my mama that we always swam in the lake in the backyard, so they should just toss the grandkids out there to swim :)  Oh how times have changed, you couldn't pay me money to get in that lake now ha! All I think of is snakes and the fact that I can't see what's on the bottom of that water. So let's be real, I am loving the fact they now have a pool too :)

PS my swimsuit is on major sale. Top here bottoms here. }

The sweetest cousin love. It melts my heart seeing how much they love each other.
