Must make recipes.........

So I have been trying really hard to find my inner chef. I really do enjoying cooking, but too many ingredients stresses me out. But we all know the ones with the more ingredients usually taste the best. I have decided to challenge myself and cook one "out of my comfort zone" meals once a week. I know this will make Todd happy, and it will give a new confidence in the kitchen. Now,when we invite guest over for dinner I will hopefully have more than a three go to meals.

Here are a few recipes I have been dying to try. Wish me luck, and please share if you have some knock your socks off dishes for me! Cookbook recommendations are wanted too!

So dish, what's new you been cooking lately?

  1. You can do it and Todd will be happy. You need all the Barefoot Contessa Cookbooks if you don't own them they are the best!

  2. My go to entertaining recipe is Giada De Laurentis Baked Penne with Roasted Vegetables. It's on the food network website! It's awesome b/c the flavors are complex, but the last 30-45 min is all in the oven so you can talk with your guests and enjoy yourself a bit!

  4. YOU CAN DO IT!!!! Cooking is fun, therapeutic and a perfect excuse to open a bottle of wine at 5pm. I love sipping on wine and trying a new recipe! Giada de Laurentis and Rachel Ray have some great easy recipes that would make for a great starting point!!! We should have a cooking party! Why do I always turn everything into a party idea?! I have a problem...
