Home Tour Dining Room

I must say we spend a lot of time in this room. Todd, Carson, and I are in this room for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! It is one of my favorite rooms in the house, not because the way I have it decorated (believe I have some things I am ready to change), but because we spend so much time in here as a family. This is the one room in my home that has some investment pieces of furniture. The china cabinet was a gift from my grandfather for my wedding , being I am the only girl in my family he couldn't tell me no. We bought this at an antique store and the date on the back is sometime in the 1840s and its real mahogany wood :) The table on the other hand is also real mahogany wood, but it was a steal I mean a real steal. Todd and I got this baby off of craigslist for $250.00!!!!!!! Poor couple said it was her great great grandmothers, they just didn't know what they had! Lucky for us we did! My changes for this room are new lighting, new artwork, and new fabric for my chairs! Cant wait to see all of your dining rooms!

  4. Thanks for stopping by my blog and your comment! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the color combo in your dining room. I am so partial to the blue/grey spectrum with the choc/ brown accents. It is such a pleasing color pallet and when you want to spruce it up, it can anchor ANY colors..orange, navy, purple, even REDs!!!

I LOVE your hutch too, someday when we have no more tiny tushies running around I hope to get a hutch in my dining room...

    GREAT Dining Room!
